FPS
has
been
dealing
with
the
technical
and
valuation
aspects
of
French
properties
since
2006.
All FPS surveyors are based in France and registered with professional
organisations such as RICS France
(Royal
Institution of Chartered Surveyors), CEIF (Chambre des Experts
Immobiliers de France) or any of the competent bodies of architects.
FPS carries out pre-purchase
building surveys of private French properties and commercial premises.
The
company also provides
independent and objective expert reports on defective building works.
Surveys and/or valuations are carried out
for purchase, mortgage and legal purposes.
All reports are written in
English (or French, if required) and accepted by banks, insurance
companies and the relevant courts.
The company provides specialised advice before,
during and after the conversion,
renovation or restoration of any type of property. Support is provided
by
local, English
speaking experts. This service is delivered through French Property
Renovations (FPR). FPR is part of the FPS group.
The
seller
will
provide a Dossier de Diagnostic Technique, a
combination of reports about energy consumption, possible presence of
asbestos, lead, vermin, etc. This information is important but these
reports are often difficult to read. FPS will help its client to
understand and interpret the contents of these reports.
FPS has no commercial links
with any estate agent, financial institution, or building firm in
France.
Technical Manager and
Principal Surveyor is David Harris, a member of the Royal Institution
of Chartered Surveyors in France and the Chambre des Experts
Immobiliers de France. David is a British national and has lived and
worked in France since 1975.
